"-Belts- He said strait up that the 377 belt is a REALLY good band-aid. What happen was they did a early summer production run and everything was perfect. When they went to do there fall production run 2 weeks before, the company that they outsourced the cast mounts/engine cradle ( I can't think of the piece) went into bankruptcy. So they had to send some of BRP's workers over to the plant to try to figure out what to do. What end up happening is some of the cast pieces are out of torrence pushing the engine either inward or outward (I think it is inward, but don't quote me) so instead of the spec being 37mm it was more like 34mm. He said the most he saw one out of spec was 3mm. They have found a new company to do there cast work and they feel very confident they will get it right.
-adjustable motor mounts - It is a thought that is in the air right now. They have not committed to it yet. He said currently there is a little room to move the engine around and if they decided to allow a little more adjustment it would be just that a few more mm of adjustment (2stroker I originally thought he said it was a for sure thing but after hearing him twice after that he said it was a possibility but not in stone.
-Clutching- He acknowledge the excessive heat... he said most of the heat is coming from the misalignment of the primary, but some of it is also do to system balance. The updates will be new primary ramps (they don't even have a number yet), different Helix ( don't quote the numbers I might be off a degree or two) but from what I remember was they where going to a 43/47 helix which is supposed to fix the RPM issue of sled runs perfect in the deep and you jump on the trail and over-revs. The belt/deflection adjuster is going to be updated as well. Also there is going to be new primary rollers."
